
Yoga in Sanskrit योग, (literally: yoke, harness or unity, union) is a philosophy, lifestyle and discipline of practice that aims to unite the individual self (Jiva-atma) with the universal self (Parama-atma). In simpler terms, yoga seeks to bring about the unity of body, mind and soul. Yoga is a general name for a number of mystical or spiritual wisdom teachings, originating in India.
Yoga classes
The class lasts about an hour and a quarter. Please arrive in comfortable clothing and try not to eat for at least two hours before class.
The style of yoga we practice is classical ‘Hatha Yoga’, postures and relaxation.
We will perform a warm-up, breathing exercises – pranayama, yoga poses for flexibility, and final relaxation.
The practice is suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners and leads to a more flexible body, easier breathing, increased concentration, and a good spiritual feeling.
Beginner lessons
In these classes, the intensity of the practice is less, more explanations of the poses will be given, and corrections will be made. The practice is suitable for beginners as well as for the general public.
Flexibility – Even if you lack flexibility, be patient, the practice is adapted to different levels of flexibility and you will see improvement over time.
Personal training
In these exercises, we will examine the limitations of the practitioner and perform a personalized exercise for one or two practitioners. Personal exercise lasts about an hour and a quarter and costs 250 NIS. To schedule a personal workout, contact Amos directly.
